School Uniform

School uniform is compulsory and we expect all parents to support our strict uniform rules. We have high standards at Selborne and this includes uniform. 

Our uniform supplier is Spangle Buds Uniform Outlet. Uniform can be ordered direct from their website.

White polo shirt* with school logo Roll necked tops, vests and thermal layers should not be visible
Maroon sweat-shirt or cardigan with school logo*
Full length black trousers unbranded
Black skirt   Skirts must NOT be worn over trousers or leggings Skirts must be no more than 5cm above the knee and no more than 5cm below the knee. Black tights may be worn in winter (no socks over tights) unbranded
Red/White checked dress (Summer) to be worn with white socks NOT tights unbranded
Plain black shoes and black socks* Boots, Trainers and Sandals are not permitted unbranded

Hair and Headwear 

School cap* School caps must be worn on every school trip
Hair	ALL HAIRSTYLES should be reasonable, hair of natural colour and not create a distraction or cause offence i.e. no shaved patterns, bold colours, Mohicans, tails or outlandish styles. Shoulder length hair and longer must be tied back.
Headwear unbranded	ALL headwear, hijabs and hair bands must be plain black. No hard headbands/decorations should be worn as they can cause injury.  Additional information regarding school uniform

• ONLY in exceptional weather conditions boots can be worn to school - please note that the children MUST change into school shoes on arrival.
• Nail varnish, make up and tattoos are NOT permitted.
• Children are permitted to wear 1 pair of plain studded earrings to school. For health and safety reasons we do NOT allow the children to wear them for PE/Games.
• Please ensure that your child DOES NOT wear them to school on these days. 

If you are in receipt of free school meals and are struggling financially to source certain items of uniform then please email the office for the attention of Mrs Waseem, and we should be able to help you using some Pupil Premium funding. Please see below those item(s) highlighted that your child needs to wear:

The PTA also run second-hand uniform sales regularly on site. Parents will be informed by text when a sale is held.
